I just came across your site and got so inspired. Do you haven any contacts with icon painters? I have been looking for a couple (at least) excellent icons only from Blessed Lebanon for YEARS but since I cannot travel there due to health reasons I am severely limited in what I can locate and purchase . I am looking specifically for these 2 icons to begin with (according to the budget): 1- Mar Sarkis (w/Mar Bakhos hopefully) 2- La Vierge... But VERY specifically Lebanese. My father's side is form Al-Koura so I'd be so honoured if I could find a Saydit Libnan icon *with Arabic writing on it* from somewhere in the North...esp Koura. I know there are several forms of La Vierge from Chekka to Zgharta but I am open to any as long as She is shown in a very graceful, most welcoming form. Anyway, I hope this is not asking too much. I just noticed that you talk a lot about your love of the arts and thought you might be a good place to find some source... even if you can only alert me to a totally different source by name and tel nÂș so I won't have to bother you about it.
No matter what, I pray that God blesses you and yours with a hundred happy and health years. Wallahi mamnounak.
Wajdi NB: I am happy to provide you with my personal email address offline if it is more helpful to communicate that way. :-)
